Microsoft Names Finalist for International Awards    BUFFALO GROVE, ILL.  – Microsoft Corp. announced the finalists for its annual Certified Partner Awards, a global awards program that recognizes excellence in emerging technologies.

ASAP Software, an international software services provider, won the North American Finalist spot for Software Asset Management Solution of the Year for its eBusiness solution, ASAP E-Way®. This is the second straight year that ASAP has been named the North American Finalist in the Certified Partner Award program. It won the Certified Partner Award last year for its hosted asset management service, ASAP eSMART™, in the category of Software Compliance Advocate of the Year because of the license compliance monitoring capability it provides for customers.

Software Asset Management Solution of the Year again in 2004!

ASAP E-Way is an online purchasing and reporting tool that ASAP customers use to order software and hardware products, buy licenses, track volume license agreements, schedule and run a wide range of activity reports and manage their overall technology purchasing. Rolled out in May, version 5.0 of the eBusiness site has a completely new interface, new functions, context sensitive help screens and more intuitive administrative and security controls. It also provides "one-click access" to every function and report from the home screen, a new time-saving feature for customers.

More than 140 judges have been working since July to select Certified Partner Awards finalists from more than 1,050 entries in 16 categories. Only one applicant in each of five global regions – Western Europe, Asia/South Pacific, Eastern Europe/Middle East/Africa, Latin America and North America – is selected as a finalist in each category. The finalists are determined based on their innovative use of Microsoft's latest technologies to develop exemplary solutions for their customers. In a sense, the finalists are winners since they’re the only ones selected in each of their respective global regions.

The Microsoft Certified Partner Program helps partners build Microsoft technology-based businesses by offering a variety of resources including training, technical support, products and peer-networking opportunities.
