The Web Marketing Association (WMA) was founded in 1997 to help set a high standard for Internet marketing and corporate web development on the World Wide Web. Staffed by volunteers, this organization is made up of Internet marketing, advertising, PR and design professionals from around the country who share an interest for improving the quality of advertising, marketing and promotion used to attract visitors to corporate websites.

The Web Marketing Association is the producer of the WebAward Competition.  Now in its 7th year, the WebAwards is the premier annual award competition that judges website development against an ever increasing Internet standard and against peer sites within their industry.

The WebAward Competition recognizes the individual and team achievement of web professionals who create and maintain outstanding corporate web sites. A WebAward plaque or certificate hung in a place of honor allows visitors to see the recognition of quality web development.
